Overview
The purpose of TestNG for Test Automation is to help participants organise Java automation suites with TestNG lifecycle annotations, data providers, grouping, dependencies and controlled parallel execution with methods they can defend and adapt. Core ideas such as testng architecture, setup and first suite, test methods, assertions and lifecycle annotations and suite configuration with xml, parameters and groups are explored through focused demonstrations and applied tasks. Participants design test classes, parameterise meaningful cases, configure suites, isolate shared state, add listeners and diagnose ordering or concurrency problems in a sample automation project. Learners also consider quality risks, useful documentation and the hand-offs required across a modern software team. The result is a deliberate TestNG structure that supports reporting and scaling without relying on accidental execution order.
