Overview
SDET Fundamentals focuses on the full working context behind the topic: the sdet role, product risk, test design and evidence and programming foundations for test code. Participants learn to understand the SDET role as a blend of software engineering, test design, automation, delivery tooling and quality advocacy while accounting for product risk, maintainability and collaboration. Learners analyse a sample system, choose appropriate test layers, write small checks, review code and trace how version control, CI, environments and diagnostics support engineering-quality feedback. Guided reviews help learners identify fragile assumptions, improve their evidence and choose proportionate techniques. They gain a realistic capability map and technical foundation for choosing a language, automation stack and deeper SDET pathway.
